L-shaped brackets included were cumbersome. With a one-sided mount, the screw holes were very close to the fan base, which looked like it might leak in heavy rain. When installed upside down, the included nuts and bolts landed right on the bend at the top of the vent pedestal, making it difficult to drill holes. The parts kit included just enough nuts and bolts for each vent mount and one cover mount. That may be enough, but I chose to use 2 aluminum rivets per bracket. Everything has become much simpler and more stable, and the mounting holes have been moved up from the vent base, away from potential leaks. ALSO: The low height of the Camco lid does NOT allow the vent lid to fully open. Everything should be fine, but I'm not sure if this doesn't affect the airflow of the upgraded larger fan I also installed.
