Always Reliable: Welding Equipment and Accessories
Tungsten electrodes from the Midwest have always stood the test of time , when I used them. I'm not a big TIG welder and needed a .04 for a 45 degree butt weld in a 1/16 wall round stainless steel tube and blew holes in the top of the joint with 1/16 electrodes and filler, so I went with it Try it. 04. They're not easy to find, but Midwest shipped them and they arrived the next day. Because they're so fine, they crumple up pretty quickly, but I've been far happier with the results. Filler was another issue and grabbing a spool of .04 SS MIG wire was the most practical solution.
