This kit allows you to connect your aquarium however you like. Although it's a bit confusing at first because there aren't any detailed instructions for the different settings you can do with it. I also had to cut off some of the black tubing myself. I used a pipe cutter that is used when cutting copper or PVC pipe. Just make sure you get your measurements before cutting. I attached the pipe to the outside of my tank before making the cuts. Beautiful facility! I've had it for about a month or so and it seems to be working effectively.
