Review on ๐Ÿ“ฆ Argon NEO Raspberry Pi 4 Case: Enhanced GPIO and PoE Access, Cooling Fan, Camera, LCD Display Support | Compatible with Raspberry Pi 4 Model B with 8GB RAM by Cassie Marie

Revainrating 5 out of 5

5 stars for performance and functionality and 5 stars for fit, finish and aesthetics

The best balance of all factors when choosing a case for your Raspberry Pi. Reduced temperature by 10ยฐC- 12ยฐC This Argon Neo case is the best balance of all. It's sleek and professional while still providing access to GPIO and camera ports. It looks like a finished product, not a project. I've had the CanaKit case, the "Official Raspberry Pi Case", Argon One and Flirc, all for the Raspberry Pi 3 B+. All of these cases have their pros and cons. (And I'd be fine using any of them) See below: - Canakit - cheap, good airflow, well made and provides access to GPIOs and ports - a bit cheesy but with the cut out Raspberry Pi logo lid - Adafruits"Official RPI Case" - same as above but much prettier - although the new ones for RPI 4 seem to only come in pink and white (yuk). You can't stack them (if that matters at all) - Flirc - Amazing build quality and similar to Argon Neo in terms of cooling - more work to get to the GPIO (4 screws) but there is a slot to fit a ribbon cable to lead through. - I think that's the best case if you know exactly what the RPI is for and you don't have to snoop into it anymore. (It's silver - I personally prefer the Neo Charcoal) - The Argon One - best if you're using the RPI as a desktop or gaming console - has better cooling in the form of a case, which is a heatsink, as well as a fan. The Argon One also has the advantage that the small add-on board moves all connections to the back of the case - this is both a cleaner look and less wear and tear on the connections on the RPI itself. The Argon One also has a power button on the back, with that No need to keep plugging and unplugging. The only potential downside to the Argon One is that it's almost twice the size of the other cases, but that doesn't matter if you're using it as intended.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Be too stupid
