As soon as I plugged the shredder in, it didn't turn green like the instructions say. It showed an orange light, indicating the door wasn't properly closed. After closing the compartment several times, the light did not disappear. I had to seal the tray with duct tape for the green light to come on. After about 10 minutes of chopping, the light started flashing, indicating overheating. After turning green again, the compartment wouldn't close AGAIN. The chopping works great but the shell system is small. I figured that for the price, something as simple as a tray wouldn't be a problem. However, the opposite is the case.
