Good product! at Body Repair Tools

Windshield polishing set worked perfectly on my 11 year old BMW z4 with 56,000 km. A tab in the center of the wiper frame came loose last year, scratching the windshield almost the entire arc. (How come?) I only noticed the damage this year when road dirt made it visible. He was out of my line of sight while driving and I never sit in the passenger seat. ;-) This year I saw a scratch and felt it with my thumbnail. I've watched several YouTube videos, some of which have used this particular polishing kit. I took advice from a YouTube video and taped the scratch to the inside of the windshield so I could see it while polishing. I masked off the right side of the windshield about 20 inches from the top and hood to protect the paint from splattering. I took it pretty easy. I didn't put much effort and kept my 20 year old 3/8 inch Bosch variable speed drill at medium speed so I could control it and keep the drill from jumping out of my hands and doing more damage. The task took about an hour from setup to cleanup. I don't see or feel a scratch; Also washed the rest of the windshield. There is no wear on the pad, I probably have enough cream and pads for another 10 repairs. Another reviewer commented on the resulting distortion swirling at night; I did not notice such a result. Great results for $25 and an hour of my time! Also used this on a 17 year old black GE Profile hob. This gave very good results in improving scratches and "cloudiness". Progress was much slower than on the BMW windshield and not all scratches were removed. However, he polished out some of the "stains" on the burners, so I went with that.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine
