Great design as if it went through different versions to get the best result. There are silicone pads on the underside to prevent slipping. The hinges have the right amount of resistance when unfolded to keep it from wobbling - a quality feel. While not intended for tablets in a case, it actually works great with my 7" Kindle in a case (see I carry it with me. Fits in the small watch pocket of my blue jeans. I bought 2 more so I can never runs out of one.Update: I've had it 9 months and have ridden it thousands of miles.New - all connections are tight and have the same quality of motion dampening as when I first bought them.No durability issues.Update: Used 16 months and still like new Used with iPad mini and iPhone.
