I use it on my bedside table to hold my iPhone7. I was afraid I'd drop my phone on the floor if I blindly reached for a glass of water in the dark, but there's a rubber grip on the bottom that stopped that from happening. Great design as if it went through different versions to get the best result. There are silicone pads on the underside to prevent slipping. The hinges have the right amount of resistance when unfolded to keep it from wobbling - a quality feel. I have found that I can successfully place my Kindle e-reader on this small Kindle stand with a fixed lid.
