Review on ๐Ÿš™ Enhance Your Jeep TJ Wrangler's Performance with Daystar 1" Taller Polyurethane Body Mount Kit by Joe Glass

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for a body lift, expect a few tweaks (not included)

Everything went great. Two of the holes in the Jeep's frame (where the body mounts go) needed to be slightly enlarged, but none of the other 9 did. I used a dremel but a file or even sandpaper would have worked well enough as they were barely too small. Everything in the kit appears to be of good quality. I also installed the transfer case link adapter without too much trouble. The biggest pain was having to cut the radiator shroud because I couldn't adjust it with the lower hoses so they didn't hit the fan. The easiest way to do this was to remove the fairing, so I had to remove the radiator fan to remove the fairing. I had to "borrow" the key to remove the fan from a car parts dealer. Once this was removed cutting the radiator fan shroud was easy. Then the other PITA was my gas fill tube, which didn't extend more than 0.5 inch into the fill body. The hose had to be loosened so I could get the filler out more, but my hose was old and stuck. I just bought a new hose and removed the old one. Oh, and if you have skid plates/plates that use the old body mounts (which need to be cut) you will need to cut the new body mounts in the same place. No problem at all, I used a good kitchen knife to cut 3/16" of the plastic sleeves. As far as the kit goes, it was great. A real pain in the ass. Not the kit's fault as it did exactly what it said it did and the instructions warned of other issues.I think these things are part of the territory when installing a body lift.no friction.Looks great.I highly recommend this 1" body lift kit over those who just add shims .New screws, new fasteners, nothing to do.

Pros
