For little more than a simple body lift.

For something more than a simple body lift, get a full replacement. I have a few complaints. First, you either have to reuse the metal cups attached to your bushings or not use them at all. Something to consider if yours is rusty. Second, as others have said, they should use thicker shims because they warp. It's worth giving a more solid feel though.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Some Trouble

Good Product: Spares

I put this on the Rubicon 04 as one of the steps for the tummy tuck plate. Simply entered, so just follow the instructions. One side at a time and observe the fuel filler neck. The YouTube video shows how to pull out the headlight to access the radiating bumper mount, but I did it with needle nose pliers. Don't forget to check the bolt tension again after a few rides. Mine has loosened a bit but checked 4 more times during the season and all was good.

Very hard ride with this great value body riser

The riser was fairly easy to install. However, I'm not a fan of reusing the original mount "cup inserts" with new mounts. Consider another kit e.g. For example, Crown Automotive's 55176180MK Body Mount Master Kit (see insert image) when you need to replace rusty inserts. Daystar polyurethane mounts create an extremely rough, nerve-wracking ride. No more warm, soft rubber, factory mounts that cushion the road. For the money this is still a good option.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Nothing here

Great kit but DO NOT use washers replace with class 8

About 2 months ago I received a 97 TJ that needed some work. The previous owner installed a 3" RC suspension jack and a 3" RC body lift and anything over 1.5" is dangerous for the Wrangler so I had to replace it. Wanted a 1" since I'm doing a tummy tuck, and a 1". also increase MM and they are highly recommended. As others have said the kit is great but the pucks are HUM. I wanted to be sure before I get a class 8 replacement and check the picture how bad the washer was and I didn't even…

Great for a body lift, expect a few tweaks (not included)

Everything went great. Two of the holes in the Jeep's frame (where the body mounts go) needed to be slightly enlarged, but none of the other 9 did. I used a dremel but a file or even sandpaper would have worked well enough as they were barely too small. Everything in the kit appears to be of good quality. I also installed the transfer case link adapter without too much trouble. The biggest pain was having to cut the radiator shroud because I couldn't adjust it with the lower hoses so they…

great kit, a small change would make the installation easier

The kit includes all the hardware needed for my installation. I already had a Novak cable switch so I didn't have to fiddle with the motion mount. As instructed in the instructions, I had to increase the diameter of the holes in the 6-frame body supports that are centered on the jeep (well, center front to back). If they made the diameter of these fuselage legs a little smaller, I wouldn't have to do the enlargement. The instructions mention using a . but I found it easier to use a dremel with…

Bad guide and some improvements

We didn't write the guide very well. If other people didn't post videos in their install line, I would still be working on the project. The instructions weren't clear and some guesswork had to be made. Some parts had to be modified, e.g. B.: Radiator fenders (excess rubber had to be scraped off), washers which had to be drilled out to fit the supplied bolts and two spacers were ground to fit the frame. Hole. After everything was installed and the job completed, the lift worked as advertised…

UPDATE: Revain customer service got it right. After a short explanation in the "chat" the support sent a return label by email even after 3 months. I don't think this is a Daystar issue, rather a mislabeled reseller. I will likely remove this review once the correct kit arrives this week. -------------- ---------------- ----After removing the radiator shroud, transmission and pulling out the stock body bolts, I have discovered the Daystar box was mislabeled! Instead of Kj04508Bk I have the YJ…
