USB Random / Shuffle = GARBAGE

As the name suggests, USB Random/Shuffle is a horribly smoking pile of dog poop. The factory radio in the 2006-2012 Rav4 did an excellent job of this function, so it's unforgivable that a 'new' radio can't do the job. The factory radio is made by Panasonic, so maybe 14+ years ago their engineers knew something that Pioneer engineers can't. Even the shuffle function was better on the old Winamp than on this radio, and anyone who used Winamp a lot knew it sucked pretty badly in that area. This radio selects 2 folders on startup and only plays songs from those 2 folders. If you switch folders manually, playback starts from that folder and another. Most poorly programmed shuffle functions select and repeat a group of songs from all folders. I've never come across a device that only preselects folders and plays songs from them. Too bad the desired shuffle function relies 90% on how I'm listening to my music - the other 10% is old-school FM radio. If I hadn't taken the time and money to fit this radio I would have sent it back immediately. In any case, I will never buy a Pioneer radio again because of this (lack of) feature. Aside from the fact that the radio doesn't do what I really need it to do - the screen is sharp and responsive and the sound is way better than the factory (which still uses the factory). amplifier and speakers).
