later Okay, I've tried just about every protein bar known over the past few years. Basically, despite all claims to the contrary, they all taste the same, like soaking sawdust in a pool of sweetened gelatin and letting it steep for 6 months. To be honest I've tried almost all of them and will never try them again. Until now. Not expecting much, I tossed one of the birthday cakes into my shopping cart at Trader Joe's. It was so unlike any other crappy protein bar I've had that I felt compelled to tell people about it. My husband, the strangers in the elevator, and now you dear ones. Is this a twix bar? no But neither does it taste like cardboard filled with heavy rain. I mean I liked it so much I bought 12 of these to scream out loud.
