Review on πŸ”¨ Metabo HPT NR90AES1 Pneumatic Collated Nailer by Jason Hayes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good product!

This nail gun exceeded our expectations. My son is renovating my house and mentioned buying a Hitachi nailer (now from Metabo) at the recommendation of his contractor friends who still use it every day. He told me he was familiar with this particular nail gun because he had used it before but couldn't remember the model number. Minimal research on my part quickly established the nail gun's durability and its effectiveness is unquestionable, as evidenced by the many awards it has received. received over the years. Since my son remodels for free, I figured a good start for "tokens of appreciation" would be to get him (and keep) a good nail gun. We both had nail sets from a different manufacturer and neither of us were happy with them. I'm a budget conscious buyer, but in this particular case it didn't matter much for obvious reasons. After careful consideration, I decided between buying an older Hitachi nailer (NR83A5, now under the Metabo brand) or a newer nailer. offers Metabo. At the end of the day I decided to buy this new model because I figured if my son didn't like it I would just keep it for myself and then buy him an old model. I figured he couldn't lose anyway and if this new breed of lighter nail gun performs like the reviews say he'll be pleasantly surprised. I made my final decision based on the positive customer reviews I read and the product. specifications, including weight. The much lower price was taken into account, but not to the extent that it would have been in other circumstances. I knew I would use a nail gun from time to time and liked the fact that it was lighter which I liked after purchasing a different brand nail gun which was much heavier and a bit bulky. I also knew that during the renovation process my son would be doing a significant amount of floor work around my house with any nailer I bought and if the unit worked well he would certainly appreciate the lighter nailer. After discussing with him how it would work if for some reason he wasn't happy with the new nailer model, I ordered this nailer. We are both very glad I did! It runs flawlessly. He drove over 2,000 nails into the gun without a single misfire or jamming. I noted a complaint that the hanger that came with the nail gun is "too wide" to use and ordered a $15 aftermarket kit that easily replaces it. Although I'm sure I wouldn't regret getting an older pistol. , I'm glad I have a new model for my project. Easier to maneuver in tight spaces and (sometimes) significantly easier to hold overhead. I don't normally write reviews but I think this product was worth the time it took to tell you about my experience.
