Replace the 142°C fuse in a dehydrator that is about 5 years old. I undid the butt connectors on the block heater board and crimped them back. However, I also soldered the crimp. You can solder them if you secure them with a double alligator clip to dissipate heat and use ice cubes on the thermal fuse itself. This keeps it cold and you can solder with 60/40 solder, which has a melting point of 190°C / 374°F. If your dehydrator is heated to 190°C / 374°F, you'll have worse problems with solder melting. 1.
