Perfect fit for my NESCO Food Dehydrator

I bought these to replace the thermal fuse in my NESCO FD-75A Food Dehydrator. I cut out the old one and soldered the new one in (using an ice cube to keep the thermal fuse cold while soldering). This made the dehydrator work as it should.

142Β°C/287.6Β°F My dehydrator heats up to 160Β°C

Replace the 142Β°C fuse in a dehydrator that is about 5 years old. I undid the butt connectors on the block heater board and crimped them back. However, I also soldered the crimp. You can solder them if you secure them with a double alligator clip to dissipate heat and use ice cubes on the thermal fuse itself. This keeps it cold and you can solder with 60/40 solder, which has a melting point of 190Β°C / 374Β°F. If your dehydrator is heated to 190Β°C / 374Β°F, you'll have worse problems with solder…
