Review on Diamondback Lucky Bike 16 Inch Wheels by Troy Drake

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great bike; Designed for big kids

This bike is very high quality, looks great and is a joy to put together. Gorgeous painting! Material and workmanship appear to be first class. The hardware rotates smoothly and fits well. Adjusting the rear brake disentangler is a bit tricky, which means the step-by-step guide is multi-step and has multiple repetitions if the results of the last few steps aren't entirely correct. But then it's a complex bearing (free-floating, swiveling 360 degrees). People have posted videos on how to adjust them. The bike is listed for 4-8 years, but I think that's pretty far off, probably based on wheel size alone. The cranks on this bike are long, twice the length of the 12-inch Specialized. My six-year-old son cannot sit on this bike (one leg is fully extended to reach the bottom pedal, the other knee is almost on his chest), although it's not that big for six. Note that the chainstay is not parallel to the ground, so the pedal axle is higher than the rear axle. This is more of a BMX/stunt bike for 8-12 year olds or any serious rider who isn't tall enough to ride a bike with 20" wheels. Use it for another year or more.

Cons
