Review on 🐜 Prime-Line Products B 705 Bug Seal: 7&quot Black - Ultimate Protection against Insects by Todd Phillips

What is it used for? Sometimes a patio door has a gap between the doorway and the screen door that allows insects to easily get in. This product is a rubber element that fits into the guide on the sliding door and has a valve to seal this gap. The piece that fits into the guide on the sliding door has some ribs that compress so you can slide it in the door and leave it there. It was a little tricky figuring out what size to get because I didn't know how compressed the ribs were. I contacted the manufacturer and they recommended a size slightly *larger* than my track width (because the fins compress). My gauge was 5/16" (.3125") and I ordered .350 in the product. It fits like a glove! It fits easily in the door. I was then able to cut it to length with scissors. I didn't have to adjust the size of the valve, but it looks like you could easily tear off part of the valve to fit it. If you don't understand how this product works, please see the attached photos.
