Update June 2020: Key was bent when I tried to unlock it, disappointed with the quality of the key. I'll have to see if the hardware store can make a new one. Otherwise I had no problems with it. First review: I installed it in minutes. Just be sure to tape or mark the places where the hinge rods connect to the old latch. With the new lock there were no problems with the tailgate. Since then I have been hauling wood lying on the back door without any problems. I would recommend this to others. It's worth special attention if you have a trunk lid or live in an urban area prone to tailgate theft.
