These boots are more like high heels with rubber soles. The thick rubber bottom provides more cushioning and protection from rocks or stickers. They are also comfortable, flexible and beautiful. For me they are perfect when I wear them with socks. Without socks they are a bit loose or wide for my feet. If you wear them barefoot, the soft plush lining will keep you soft and warm. The shoes are easy to slip on for a quick run to the grocery store or a stroll around the house. They are also comfortable to wear if you do a lot of walking from home or as a driving shoe.
