The sound is pretty good for such a small unit and great for the price. I installed this system on my sailboat to replace an old 1980's car radio and paper cone speakers. The speakers seem more reliable than what I paid for, so the price is pretty good there. The amplifier gets very hot. Too hot to touch. So hot I was worried it might start a fire since I installed it on a piece of wood but with plenty of airflow around it. I'll add an aluminum plate a few millimeters thick and some bolts to accommodate the amp and wood, as well as heat dissipation and peace of mind. That means it works as is for a couple of weeks, no problem.
