The advantages are that it is easy on the hand and that it works wonderfully on all of the surfaces in my home, including the stone, the painted surfaces, the suit, and the wood. I have not tried it out on glass as of yet. Negative aspects include the fact that the scroll wheel has a distinct feel to it and that it takes some time to become accustomed to using it.
