I've been using it for 3 days now to set up aquaponics. My goal is 82f for 2x 30g tanks. It took several hours for the water to reach a constant range of 73f to 82f and the water never dropped below 80.6f. There is a minimum waterline, keep that in mind. The heater turns off automatically to maintain a constant temperature and reduce energy costs. The temperature dial is a bit difficult to turn. However, this only ensures that your tempos don't accidentally change. On the other hand $16 for two heaters, crazy quality for value.
