This is an amazing price but performance wise I was a bit disappointed. My first two heaters didn't work at all, but the seller replaced them immediately. Luckily, the replacement worked pretty well. They seem to be warming up decently by a degree or two. I have a heater that is 20 gallons long and another 29 gallons tall with no problems.

They didn't impress me. I have a lot of tanks and they don't work as advertised. Temperature fluctuations are extreme in advance and a constant temperature is very important. If all you care about is economy then go for this or if you are going to use it for turtles and the like. You get what you pay for. So if you have sensitive fish this is not for you.

Good heaters without temp control are VERY hard to turn, at least for my family. When we set the temperature, we had to use pliers to adjust the knob. That issue aside though, it works great, heating the water properly and shutting off when it's at the right temperature. For the cost, I will deal with a complicated temperature controller because the value is good.

Inexpensive and clean. What more can you ask for? I bought these heaters because they were really cheap and I didn't care how they looked aesthetically or what type of heating element they used. All that mattered to me was whether they maintained the exact temperature of the water. I used them in a 36 gallon tank for several months and they worked flawlessly. I am very comfortable. And yes, I know there is algae in my aquarium, it's time to clean it 😁

It took several hours for the water to reach a constant range of 73f to 82f and the water never dropped below 80.6f. There is a minimum waterline, keep that in mind.
