Although this kit appears to match genuine Kohler parts when placed side by side, they do not match. The biggest issue is the needle valve seat - the original requires a 3/8" (.3750") seat, but the new uses a 10mm (.3937") seat. The extra .0187" width means the 10th -mm head will NOT fit in the carburetor between the lugs that hold the float pin. I had to use a small vise to try and tighten it and I'm not sure it's tight enough. Also, the seals are not exactly the same size as the originals. The flat gasket behind the needle valve seat has a larger ID, while the flat gasket under the fuel tank nut has a larger ID and a smaller OD - to the point where I'm worried about it squeezing into the hole. cup and didn't seal properly - I reused the old one. Also, I don't understand why a carburetor rebuild kit doesn't include a base gasket where it attaches to the engine. Suggestion: If you are using an unusable needle valve seat, remove it and only put the correct one in the kit. Diameter seals plus the needle valve itself, but add a base seal. That would be enough for 99% carburettor cleaning.
