I've been using it almost every day for the past month or two. Just a large bag of Costco coffee beans (actually there's still a pot in the bag) and I used them for my morning wake-up call this morning. What unscrewed when trying to unscrew the filter was the handle. I tried to unscrew the filter manually, without dice, I tried to unscrew it, holding the rod with all my might, the rod still rotates with the filter. I pulled out the tongs and squeezed the metal rod as hard as I could, but it was still spinning with the damn filter! If I can't clean the filter, I won't get any coffee! I'm currently considering gluing the handle to secure it, maybe to finally unscrew the filter. Let's see I guess. but it's still a weekend morning and i'm out of coffee and angry. Why not just weld a damn handle to it so the problem doesn't exist? I would, only I don't have a welder! Wanted to buy a new French Press. Skip this person unless you wake up one morning and don't want to get your dose.
