Cheap junk. After three days of use, the paint had come off all surfaces, contaminating the coffee and rendering the item unusable. The packaging says "the metal has been tested by the Food and Drug Administration" - a claim I highly doubt - but it's clear the paint hasn't been tested. . Buy something else!

Bought as a present for my husband. I sold our Keurig because I felt we were wasting too much on kcups every day. This French press is very good! He liked it a lot and said the coffee was delicious. We were both very impressed with how beautiful it is! Stainless steel, very durable. Comes with a spoon which is great! Simple instructions! Good product!

To me this is a near perfect coffee maker in every way except for one major issue. When washing, the plunger cap fills up and retains water. It is important to me that the pot is washed, rinsed thoroughly with hot water and is a clean pot each time it is used as oil build up etc will affect the flavor of my coffee. It will take several days to dissipate water evaporation in this lidded chamber as I live in a humid environment. I definitely don't want to drink rusty, rancid, moldy water/coffee…

Purchased this after my Bodum French Press crashed due to low hanging cabinets (no fault of Bodum). Where I wanted my coffee, I opted for a stainless steel French Press. I've used this twice since today's date with no problems. In general, you don't give your French Press a deep clean with a hot water bath and a couple of dips to clean it down to coffee. My skepticism about the stainless steel press turned out to be completely unfounded. Unlike my old one, no coffee grounds run into the cup with this one. To keep my coffee nice and hot, I heat a little more water than I need and pour a little into the press according to the instructions. I then pour this warm press water into my cup to heat it up before filling it with coffee. If you like really hot coffee, a French press is for you. Everything is disassembled and easily assembled for cleaning.
