Forget the claim that these 2.5" OD hoses are NOT compatible with the 2.5" 1/4" outer hose that comes standard with shop vacuums. If, like me, you bought an extra Shop Vac hose to help with dust collection in your home workshop, you won't find anything online or in stores to match, BUT you will you can do it yourself with 40 gauge (1.5 in. ID) PVC pipe, a straight splice on each end and some tape to secure it (see photo). They will work fine and should be less than 2 US Cost dollars per material If you can't be pretty, at least be handy!
