Review on Marmot PreCip XL Boys' πŸ§₯ Waterproof Jackets & Coats: Lightweight and Reliable! by Todd Wigfall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent waterproof case from Marmot.

I have been buying Marmot clothes for my son for several years and have never been disappointed with their quality. This PreCip rain jacket is no exception. This jacket is waterproof, making it perfect for rainy days. Due to its light texture, it can be worn at any time of the year. It can be worn alone over a t-shirt in the warmer months and over a fleece and soft shell in cold weather (due to the large sizes). It's lightweight and easily folds up to fit in a backpack just in case. This PreCip jacket is truly a versatile piece of clothing for any child's wardrobe. My son is an avid outdoor enthusiast, already at the tender age of 5. So he really needs his clothes to withstand the strain. I've found that instead of making a smaller version of a tactical garment, many outdoor clothing brands are skimping on products for kids. This does not apply to marmots. This PreCip rain jacket is very well made with great attention to detail. The seams are well finished and I am sure that the impregnation will hold up. The inside of the collar, including the top of the zip, is lined with soft fleece, making it very comfortable to wear. The two-way stretch hood with visor offers excellent rain protection, but can also be easily removed and secured with Velcro when not in use. The sleeves have elastic cuffs to keep your hands free. The main zip and two zipped pockets are closed with a fabric flap to keep water out. I am very happy with this Marmot PreCip children's waterproof jacket and would highly recommend it.

Pros
  • Good quality jacket. Simple and thin, just for rain. Great for layering.
Cons
  • The price may be too high for some customers
