Excellent real henna suitable for henna

I have been hennaing my hair for over a year using a large cheap bag of pure henna from my local Indian shop and I love the result. I decided to try another brand of henna. This powder is different from the cheap stuff I've bought: it's finer so it mixes into a smoother paste that's easier to apply. It appears to be real, pure henna. This is important because some products sold as "henna" contain many other strange ingredients. There are no instructions on the packaging. The Tapdancing Lizard website has great instructions that I highly recommend. On this website you will learn how to achieve any natural hair color from blonde to black using only natural ingredients such as henna. Before finding this website I tried different recipes with no good results. It is important to know that henna is never washed off. It's absolutely constant. It never goes away. It may darken from the original bright orange to a softer auburn over time, especially when using hot styling tools like flat irons, but it stays on your hair. If you are fed up with your henna, you can get rid of it by cutting your hair. This is the only way. Because of this durability, you want to test the henna on a hair sample first. Take some loose hair out of a comb or shower drain and see if you like what the henna does with it before applying the henna to your head. It already has a lot of layers of henna on it, so here's a photo of the hair from my kid's brush instead to show what he does with hair that has never been colored. I collected the hair from the comb, washed it with shampoo and divided it into two parts. I colored part with this henna activated with ¼ lemon juice, ¾ water. I left the other part alone. Here's a photo comparing the two in the sunlight. The original light brown color is on the left, and the part stained with henna is on the right. Isn't that a beautiful shade of chestnut? I will update this review soon with photos of this henna on my real head. I color my hair about once a month to cover the roots and add another layer down the length of my hair as I love the deep dark color that henna brings out after multiple uses. If you prefer the bright orange color of a single coat of henna, you only need to touch up the roots each month instead of dying the entire length of your hair. My natural hair is 90% very dark brown, 10% white. Henna makes my dark hair look like it's still dark inside but gives it a very shiny orange glow in bright light like sunlight. On light hair, especially gray hair, the color really pops and looks vibrant in any light. It makes my white hair look orange so it looks like highlights against my darker hair. Several coats of henna turn this orange hair into a deep brown. Aside from the color, henna also makes my hair incredibly strong, smooth and silky like every strand is coated in Teflon. I use a lot less conditioner now because my hair doesn't need it like it used to. How to henna my hair: Measure out enough henna in a bowl for your hair length. For thigh-length hair, I use a cup and a half. Of course, short hair doesn't need that much. Now add water and acid. I use ¾ water, ¼ bottle of lemon juice. You can add different acids for slightly different effects. Add just enough liquid to make a puree-like paste. Mix very well and cover. Now let the henna stand until the dye stands out. In warm weather, this can take as little as four hours. If your home is very cold, this may take twelve hours. Make sure the color comes out by applying some henna to the palm of a clean hand (without moisturizer). Wait a minute and wash off the henna. There should have been an orange stain on the hand. That's how you know it's done. If you don't have time to use it now, you can put it in the fridge and use it soon, or put it in the freezer to thaw it and use it later. ears, but it stains oily skin like palms, so apply with gloves. If you want to make sure your skin doesn't get dirty, you can apply a moisturizer or oil to the skin around your hairline, but make sure it doesn't get on your hair. Before coloring your hair, make sure your hair is very clean and free of oil or products. Wash it off with a clarifying shampoo and don't use conditioner. Towel dry your hair, part it and apply henna paste to each section. Now wrap your hair in plastic wrap or cover with a plastic bag and leave the henna on your hair for as long as you can stand it. Four hours is good. Some people sleep in it, I don't know how. Henna paste smells like leaves, not as unpleasant as many other hair dyes, but not very good either. I do not mind. As soon as you can no longer tolerate this ointment on your head or the sweat runs down your neck in orange rivulets, wash it off by first rinsing it out with plenty of water and then shampooing and applying conditioner as usual. Enjoy your color from orange to reddish brown. , shiny, silky hair! updated! I dyed my hair with this dye, I am very happy with the result. Here are some closeups of my roots before and after. You can see I have a lot of gray hair and this henna covered the gray completely. Here are some pics of my head as well. These are not before and after shots (which would be useless anyway as my before shot would have several layers of henna from other brands). These are all after pictures. In indirect light, this henna makes my hair very dark. In direct light, this henna makes my hair very light. I love this henna, it's good, strong and very effective.
