1. Micro SIM card required. The one I had was a full size, but Verizon will replace it for free, which they did. I received mine in three business days (free shipping), but you can pay around $7 for two days. Inserted a new SIM card but received limited access. You need to call Verizon and provide the IMEI which is under the battery.3. Works perfectly! I first tried a factory reset using the online troubleshooter, but that didn't work for me. The above steps got the device working. This device is no longer available from Verizon, but is still the JetPack upgrade it replaces (no more fee) and is a much cheaper option than buying a new device plus an activation fee. Verizon could never explain what they activated since I already had an account. I believe the steps above are the activation process. But as you can see, if you already have an account and can activate it, they will send you a free SIM card. I have the same device at my work (over 3 years) and it holds a charge perfectly in standby and in use. Supplied with Novatel battery and matching charger. This was different than what I received using the same jetpack as my work, but I feel what I received is original to the device. However, the packaging is not original. The box was for a phone. This is not a problem for me, but be aware that my device was described as new. As long as it holds a charge, like mine for work. I really like that you can connect up to 15 devices. It's thick and a bit heavy, but a workhorse. The seller I bought from, Wireless Trader, required a signature for delivery.
