Review on Samsung LC34H890WJNXGO Ultrawide Curved Monitor with 3440x1440 Resolution, 100Hz Refresh Rate, Tilt and Height Adjustment, and Flicker-Free Technology by Paul Alexander

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Lots of space and brightness, but text could be better.

I use this monitor for writing software, emails, documents and spreadsheets. A reasonable choice for the money. It's very bright and the colors are good. It's nice to have so much screen space to open large and complex spreadsheets or open an IDE at the same time as the webpage or application you're working on. This display is quite suitable for long text reading sessions. I wish I'd spent about $200 more on a Dell with comparable specs. You'll really notice the sharpness and contrast around the black text on the white background. Some people don't care, and I'm kinda getting used to it. If I switch back to Dell, which I have access to, reading a lot of text becomes much smoother. I was hoping the text execution would be better for a "business" monitor.
