Review on ๐Ÿšฟ Delta RP17453 Delta Tub Spout, Chrome Finish, Standard Size by Sadik Pinger

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Cheap plastic but holds up well! Installation requires some plumbing work.

As other reviewers have noted, the material is chrome-plated plastic. The insides are also made of white plastic. Overall it's a pretty cheap feel. The spout requires a 1/2" threaded pipe protruding from the wall. Cut the pipe to length and solder a threaded joint to the end. It should enter fairly close to the finished wall, so be careful with the flare! The product packaging says the tip of the thread can extend 5/8 and 1-5/8" out of the wall, giving you something to work with. Remember that the threaded socket itself is over an inch long. Once the threaded socket When seated you screw the supplied brass adapter onto the socket and then the spout is screwed onto the brass fitting until it is flush with the finished wall. The finished installation turned out to be pretty good and the spout diverter seals well and now I'm getting a good one flow from the shower head.
