This auto topping certainly gets the job done. I managed to keep the water parameters much more stable and never had a single problem with the sensor. It reads very accurately and has never failed. There is one thing I don't like about this auto-refill though. For example; When I turn on supply mode on my pumps, it is obvious that the sump is filling with water. The ATO is obviously registering a water level well above the "working" level as the blue LED ring on the control module will flash for a few seconds. Well, when I'm done feeding and turning the pumps back on, my overflow takes about 30 seconds for the siphon to "settle down" so it can't keep up with the back pump at first. This causes the water level in the sump return chamber to drop so the ATO kicks in and begins pumping about a half gallon of headwater into the system, enough for a 40 gallon system to reduce the salinity by about .002-.003. . It would be nice to integrate a "feed mode" in which the ATO goes into an idle state for 15 minutes after selecting a feed mode.
