I only bought these to see if they could save me the time/cost of removing the rear wheel, going to the local bike shop and getting the Tires are connected tires so they can replace the leaking valve stem. I got a quick quote from a local shop and they wanted about $80 just to replace the stem. A quick search led me to this product which I had never seen/heard of before. And I don't think any of my friends (who worked in the automotive industry for many years like me) didn't see it either. Since my Kawasaki Z1000 is no longer my main vehicle I decided to see if they would work. I removed most of the old rod, inserted the new one by hand as far as I could, and then tightened it. Air pumped and listened for leaks. No leaks. Given some time, checked, the pressure stayed the same. It was good so I cycled 20 miles to bring it home and park it. Checked after a few days, the pressure remains normal. By simply allowing myself to return home in an emergency, I would make them a worthy addition to my toolbox along with a set of tire caps. The fact that it seems to hold enough air to be a long term solution (until the next tire change) is great!
