Soft material, speaker fits (as it should). The zipper seems secure at first glance and the carabiner is a nice feature. However, to my disgust, after a week of VERY light use, the fabric loop holding the snap hook broke at the seam. At first I thought it was snagging somewhere, but after looking around and realizing there wasn't anything to snag on, I assumed that the speaker's weight alone had caused the stitching to tear. There was no space for the USB cable that came with the speaker, just a small pocket at the end of the case, barely enough to stow the included AUX cable. I had to put the USB cable in the case along with the speaker.
