Review on Park Tool Accessory Collar Work by Zachary Pete

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Required for countertop #106

Park tools work best on bikes. I'm giving 5 stars because Park doesn't hide the fact that the old grandstands are larger in diameter. This is optional. If you don't have a wireframe collar like this it will not work or look right. This part works, it does what it's supposed to do and it's EASY to put on an old stand. I ordered a more convenient PCS-1 bike rack work tray to replace an old broken tray. I have had a bike rack for many years and several moves, so it has suffered a lot and is great for setting and repairing bikes. I saw a one star review saying it didn't match the old style stand without modification, but I bought it anyway. Sometimes you're lucky enough to ignore other people's whining. Yes, it won't fit on an old stand right out of the box, but the conversion isn't rocket science. The part is made of thick, hard, flexible plastic, so it doesn't need to be milled like metal. Using a Dremel with a small sanding attachment, it takes about 5 minutes to sand down the inside diameter from about a sixteenth to an eighth of an inch and you're done. You can use a sanding drum on a drill press if you don't have a Dremel. A file with a rat's tail will do. It's not difficult to understand. The material is easy to remove and the collar is thick enough that easy removal does not affect function. The quick clamp works flawlessly and is actually better than the flat tray. The tools used to slide off the old tray. This is large enough for the magnetic bowl to catch metal objects and keep them within reach. The wire frame and optional towel and lube holder are great. We love Raven!
