experience of a person. I have an old 2 piece tub/shower faucet. After about 10 > 15 years the water flow could not be shut off (i.e. leaking in the "off" position. When I could not find an exact replacement part I called the price fister and was told that they had the design of 2 have removed parts but there was a new one piece design (974-042) which was a direct replacement. The one piece design failed after about 3 years due to excessive rotational force. Replaced with another one piece design and it still had one excessive rotational force .named Phister Price and they said they resumed production of the 2 piece assembly, ordered and installed the 2 piece assembly (part # 974-291 and 971-250) and the rotational force is back to normal (about 1 inch-lb ).
