Review on Derale 13251 Single Aluminum Cooler by James Ohlrogge

I used this to replace the stock paper clip power steering cooler on my 1997 LandCruiser fzj80. It fits well into the standard layout and is fairly easy to install if you know how to use a drill and tap. Although it has one crucial disadvantage. There is no way to vent air from it. If you mount it vertically, make sure the power comes from below and you will be fine. Unfortunately, if you mount it horizontally, it's always about 1/2 full of air because once it's half full of liquid both vents are closed and the air is trapped. I was able to get around this by holding the device upright, pumping fluid through the system, and then installing it, but it was painful and messy.
