I bought a lithium car starter that also had a DC output and a set of laptop adapters. Of course none of these fit my Dell Precision 5520. So I ordered this cable. I had to use a cable adapter to attach the battery, but one of the battery adapters fitted perfectly and solved the problem. I was also able to connect the cable to an older but less powerful PSU (65W). Even if I get a warning that the power supply does not deliver the required power of 90W, I can at least charge the battery when the laptop is switched off. One stone less if I switch to mobile.
