Do not buy this adapter if you want to connect to another adapter
I needed a USB adapter and that's what I need. The problem is that you cannot connect the adapters together if you use another adapter, e.g. B. the one Apple sells from USB-c to HDMI + LAN + another USB-c. I tried connecting my iPhone to this adapter connected to another adapter and then to my Mac and the iPhone didn't get a connection. Really very disappointing as these are original Apple devices.
