So I really like these lighters. However, there is something you should probably know. I am in my 40s and have had normal hearing for over 40 years. My children and my dogs can hear frequencies that humans naturally cannot hear as they age. I light candles with these lighters all the time and every time I do the dogs leave the room and my kids (even outside the room) cringe and endure my lighting. Apparently these lighters are loud. If you're over 40, it doesn't matter to you. You still won't hear it. But if you have children or dogs, be aware that it can damage their ears.
