The first order was in size 10-11. My son is a stocky 5 foot tall and already weighs 100 pounds. They fit tight, but they fit and he's ok. I ordered another set because he liked them and we got exactly the same pair but not elastic. They were the same size but didn't fit. According to my son, you should definitely get a stretchy one because it's comfortable. The third time I ordered them, I rated them and made sure they stretched. He said they are even better! So it's probably best if you have a stocky, athletic son.
