Review on Cubitron 982C Precision Ceramic Diameter by Mike Johnston

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Literally incredible performance.

You won't believe me until you try it yourself, nobody does. I use them as a shipyard fitter/welder, I've used them to make bumpers for a 4X4 rock crusher and I've used them to make electrical boxes. They are more aggressive than a 9" hard grinding wheel when it comes to stock removal, leaving a smooth finish for painting in heavy industrial applications. They remove about the same amount of steel (just much faster) than a hard drive before they wear out, and they're safer because they can't explode. These are ceramic grinding wheels, not just grinding wheels. They save a lot of time in further processing and offer a much higher quality than hard disks. You really have to try to believe it because they LOOK like grinding wheels. Their only downside is that the edges are if you are a welder. and spend money as they are quite expensive. That, and if you use them on welds that haven't cooled in a few minutes you'll have a much shorter lifespan due to the heat. So if you are primarily a welder I would stick with hard drives. If you are a metalworker and need to remove a lot of metal repeatedly. Everything quickly and leaves a high-quality finish when copying or mixing, saving you tons of time and money. Good luck and don't forget to buy a pad if you try it.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
