Patriot PDC24G6400ELK RAM, Asus P5K Pro motherboard. It quickly accelerates to 3.6 GHz on a boxed cooler, but the temperature already increases to 69C (in the room, 28). This is not much, so it is perfectly possible to run it continuously, but the cooler's noise is already audible and obtrusive (the speed is manually set to 90%). I will never switch to a 4-core processor (at least not in the foreseeable future) because of the performance. In the worst-case scenario, I'll purchase a Typhoon 120th Thermalright 120 extreme with two fans, and I'll drive up to four at least.
