Installed right out of the box. I haven't read the description so I was pleasantly surprised that it comes with butt connectors, zip ties and clips that screw into the truck to hold it in place. The only thing that would be better if they included the blue butt connectors instead of all the red ones so I can easily tell later what color the negative and positive would be. That being said, I was very happy with the thickness of the strip and the amount of plastic covering the LEDs to protect them from getting wet. Very well done. The 18 gauge wires are very thin but they worked fine. I tested them on my battery first before installing them to make sure they work. I degreased the spot where I mounted it and then glued it in place and didn't even need screw clamps, 3M glue will suffice. I connected the red wire to the marker lights and the black wire to most of the marker lights on each side. I routed the yellow wire to the turn signal harness and used a test light to find the positive wire. I made a connection and a joint connected them together and pinched them. I was super excited to drive my truck tonight and show off how cool the stock part is with my turn signals! $30 for this case!
