My wife keeps dropping and losing the remote from our ROCU. Sometimes falls break and either the battery cover or the batteries are lost, at least temporarily. After purchasing an updated ROKU device with a more complex (and expensive) replacement, I wanted some sort of protection for the remote control. The cover works like a phone case and easily slides over the remote, leaving all the necessary buttons and ports accessible and functional. It is intended to protect the remote control from damage caused by falls and to keep the battery compartment closed so that the batteries do not roll under the sofa or bed. The case isn't necessarily pretty, but with a rubberized texture, it'll be harder to fall and slide between sofa cushions. A bright red will be easier to find.
