Using it for logging and error visibility

I like that Scalir allows me access into my logs via API or CLI in multiple languages. It also offers powerful searching capabilities which makes finding issues easy when they do occur. The UI does not have all of its features available out of the box (for example, search filters are missing).

There was a time where we could see what errors were occurring but now those messages disappear from our dashboard after 30 days instead of being able to view them indefinitely. We've been using Scalyr since 2016 as part of monitoring infrastructure at an enterprise level with many servers across several data centers around the world.

Pros

Searching for specific information is simple just run one query per log type you want analyzed; filtering by date range works well too so it's possible if desired without having full text searches enabled within your database tables/databases themselves! This lets us get more insight about production performance than ever before because every single piece can be sliced & diced until there aren't any problems
