Installed on my 2003 Ford Explorer, in short they are much stronger than they should be. I left them as a secondary vehicle and I don't need them to be perfect but I can't get the back gate to open on its own as the jambs push so hard the gate bounces at the top. vibrate, which worries me they'll break something. Therefore, the gate must be kept all the way up to avoid possible damage. I'm not sure if they accidentally sent me the wrong ones, but in my experience they are too powerful for the application.
