. They arrived in perfect condition, not bent or cracked anywhere. There are no instructions, but after a quick look at the ones still on my car and these new ones, it was pretty obvious how to replace them. Using a flathead screwdriver, I removed the clips on each end of the existing post and then removed it from the tabs. The new design simply snapped onto the grommets that the old post was attached to. No adjustments or anything else are required. I repeated this with another rack. The top opens and closes flawlessly and the struts keep it open. One note - I had a piece of wood between the hood and the floor - I knew when I removed the 1st brace that the remaining 'old' brace would not be able to hold it open on its own. This turned out, and the wood held it open while I worked on it. After the first new frame was mounted, the wood was no longer needed, but I left it there to be on the safe side. I deducted one star because of the lack of printed instructions.
