Absorbency is not an issue in this case. Easy to install, but the dividers aren't big enough to collect litter. It's useful for pushing everything to one side and therefore easier to clean, but no spatula was included, which is frustrating. The section is quite small, so it needs to be cleaned frequently, and turning it over will release mostly clean sand, which can save buying more sand. Last but not least, I have to sweep up the sand that leaves my kitten's box. I use it now but will look for other tablets to use it better.
